Gold Coast and Beenleigh line trains back to normal after bridge strike

UPDATE @ 11.00 AM | Train services along the Gold Coast and Beenleigh lines have returned to normal after an earlier bridge strike.

A motor vehicle is understood to have struck a rail bridge at Rocklea, forcing trains to be suspended in both directions between Yeerongpilly and Rocklea stations.

Trankslink has since advised that everything is now back to normal and no delays are being experienced.

EARLIER @ 10.45 AM | Trains on the Gold Coast and Beenleigh lines have been suspended after a motor vehicle hit a rail bridge.

The vehicle is understood to have struck the bridge at Rocklea around 10.30am.

Translink says trains are suspended in both directions between Yeerongpilly and Rocklea stations as a result of the crash.

Delays of up to 30 minutes are currently being experienced.
