All Gold Coast beaches have been closed again today, thanks to a continuing hazardous surf warning.
Closures have been in place for most of the week due to dangerous inshore conditions and heavy seas.
Lifeguards are urging beach-goers to avoid even walking along the beach, especially with children, as tidal surges are very strong and people may be swept off their feet.

The safest vantage points to view the surf are from dedicated pathways and ocean ways.
Surf Life Saving Queensland have also advised rock fishers to avoid coastal rock platforms exposed to the ocean and seek a safe location that is sheltered from the surf.
Boaters planning to cross shallow water and ocean bars should consider changing or delaying their voyage.
If boaters are already on the water, they’re being advised to carry the appropriate safety equipment and wear a life jacket, and remember to log on with their local radio base.
Some beaches could stay closed a little longer, if works have to be done to repair scarping issues along the open beaches.
