All Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains have been halted in both directions as a result of damaged overhead powerlines.
Translink advised customers of the situation via a statement on their website.
“Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains are suspended both directions between Yeerongpilly and Kingston stations due to overhead power line damage between Altandi and Runcorn stations,” the statement reads.

“At the request of police and emergency services, access to Runcorn station has been closed to the public.”
Travellers have been warned to expect delays of at least an hour.
In the meantime, extra buses have been put on to transport passengers whilst technicians work to fix the issue.
