Gold Coast bikie charged after a dramatic taser arrest, Logan

An alleged Gold Coast bikie has been charged with multiple offences, after a dramatic arrest in Logan.

Police tracked down the 28-year-old in Logan Village yesterday, who was wanted for multiple offences across the southeast.

A short foot chase broke out where the man allegedly became violent and punched a police officer.

He was eventually arrested along Albert Street, after officers used a taser to subdue him. They then seized a knife during the arrest.

The 28-year-old, believed to be a member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged with multiple offences including serious assault police, possession of a knife in public, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs and fraud.

He’s due to front court in Beenleigh today.

Operations Leader, South Eastern Major and Organised Crime, Detective Inspector Troy Lehmann said the arrest was a culmination of significant investigations by police in the Gold Coast and Logan Districts.

“We are focused on keeping our community safe and this arrest is a result of the relentless targeting of 1% outlaw groups by Taskforce Maxima” Detective Inspector Lehmann said.
