Gold Coast bikies can fill out form to cut links with outlaw gangs

GOLD COAST bikies will soon be able to prove they have severed ties with their club by simply filling out a form.

The Queensland Police Service have posted a Disassociation Declaration Form on their website, which asks participants to show the steps they have taken to cut ties with a Criminal Motorcycle Gang.

Questions relate to whether or not participants have returned or destroyed their club colours and if they have had their club tattoo removed. Participants are also asked to declare what position they held in the bikie chapter.

The Disassociation Declaration Form has been released ahead of new laws starting next month which ban gang members from working in certain positions, such as car sellers, security guards, locksmiths, tow truck drivers, pawn brokers and tattoo artists.

Bikies who fill out the form are asked to provide documents to the police within 10 business days. Those needing help to fill out the form can call the police hotline on (07) 3015 2680.
