Gold Coast bus driver in heated exchange

A GOLD COAST bus driver was involved in verbal stoush with an irate passenger in Robina on Tuesday.

A woman travelling on the 747 to Robina told her husband about the heated argument when she got off the bus at around 10:30am.

He advised that a passenger became furious when the driver was forced to pull up suddenly.


It is claimed that the man rushed to the front of the bus and began telling off the man behind the wheel.

Surfside confirmed the traveller did get very abusive but stressed that the argument did not turn physical.

The Bus Company also said drivers spend a lot of time being taught how to deal with troublesome passengers.  The program called Violence De-escalation training.

Surfside stressed drivers will always try to resolve any situation in a peaceful manner.
