Gold Coast CEO’s will sleep rough to combat homelessness

137 Gold Coast CEOS will swap their cosy boardrooms for cardboard boxes on June 23 for the 11th Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

With nothing but the clothes on their back, a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard, participants will experience a night of sleeping rough in the grounds of CBUS Super Stadium to raise much needed funds to help combat homelessness.

One of the local CEO’s signing up to rough it out for one night is Aston Milan Homes Director, Rob Douglas. “When I became aware of the fact that over 100,000 of my fellow Australian’s sleep rough every single night of the week and many more do not enjoy a permanent home, I felt compelled to ‘do my bit’ and help Vinnies raise awareness and vital funds to combat this growing societal challenge.”

So far the Gold Coast CEO’s have managed to raise over $106,000, however locals are still encouraged to donate what they can to help fight the homelessness crisis.

Registration is also still open.  If you’re a Gold Coast CEO and you’d like to take part and fight homelessness in your sleep, visit: ceosleepout.org.au
