A GOLD COAST police officer who was caught on video punching a man in the face during an arrest, has resigned.
The incident captured on CCTV outside Sin City nightclub in Surfers Paradise in September 2014, shows the officer punching Brayden Aaron Mechen in the face as he is handcuffed and thrown into the back of a police van.
