Gold Coast entrepreneur Nev Hyman has just been crowned the global winner of the Pitch@Palace start-up competition at St James’s Palace in London.
The local businessman and former surfboard shaper took out the top spot with his enterprise NevHouse – which turns recycled plastic and other sustainable materials into low cost homes, schools and medical clinics. The structures are constructed in five days or less and function off the grid.
Mr Hyman first pitched his innovative business idea to the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, at the regional final of Pitch@Palace at Bond University in September.
