Care and Connection Community Event

Did you know?
Skin disorders and allergies impact on many facets of mental health and social functioning. Caregivers often experience increased levels of depression and anxiety.
Hands to Hold will hold their inaugural Mental Health Week event to celebrate the launch of the Hands to Hold Care & Connection Program (a program to provide free and subsidised psychology consultations to members) as well as provide an informative presentation by a clinical psychologist and interactive mini workshops for children, adults and carers.
This event is open to the general public and will provide insight into the impact to mental health that chronic allergic and severe dermatitis diseases have on the individual, their carers and the family unit.
Held on a Saturday afternoon, there will be supervised children’s fun activities and education to foster social interaction, mindfulness and resilience whilst the adults can enjoy the main presentation as well as mini workshops on mindfulness and relaxation techniques (including some bonus relaxation mini massages).
Care packages will be provided to attendees.
Free and Family Friendly!
