Championship Cat and Kitten Show

Feline Show returns for the third time

Have you ever wondered what is the difference between a Birman and a Burmese? Or which breed of cat is the largest?

Borderline Cats Inc invites you to their third annual Championship Cat and Kitten show, to be held in the Auditorium of South Tweed Sports Club, at 4 Minjungbal Drive, Tweed Heads South, on Saturday, 24 August. Visitors will have a chance to talk to registered breeders and exhibitors of many breeds, to gain information on breed characteristics to assist in making an informed choice to suit their lifestyle.

Local, interstate and international judges will score the exhibits, both longhaired and shorthaired. All pedigree exhibits are judged on a standard of points, while the non-pedigree exhibits, called Companions, are judged on appearance and temperament. Tweed Shire Friends of the Pound volunteers will have some deserving adoptees on display and available on the day.

Visitors can participate in a fun cat-themed trivia contest running through the day. Raffles and information stalls will be on offer, plus the opportunity to purchase toys and accessories for their felines. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
