Continue Living in Style: Design to Downsize
Gold Coast seniors can discover expert tips on downsizing and decluttering at a free event hosted by RetireAustralia’s new The Verge at Burleigh G.C. retirement village.
The Design to Downsize session will be held on Monday 30 September and feature advice from leading Gold Coast designer and stylist Gail Rust.
The event will be followed by another free workshop next month focused on interior design and on-trend colours to help inspire retirees to create a new home.
RetireAustralia Chief Executive Officer Dr Brett Robinson said today’s seniors enjoyed more active lifestyles and wanted the freedom to spend time doing the things that matter, making downsizing a popular trend.
“While decluttering your life in order to downsize can be a big task both physically and emotionally, it can also be a very liberating experience,’’ Dr Robinson said.
“Downsizing can herald an exciting new chapter in life that gives you more time to focus on the things you love and cut back on mundane chores like household maintenance,” he said.
The free Design to Downsize event will be held in the Club House at the Burleigh Golf Club, 114 Albion Avenue, Miami. Places are limited and RSVP is essential by visiting the website at www.thevergeburleigh.com.au or phoning 0447 186 320.
