Coomera Creative Hub Open Day
Gold Coasters thinking about a creative career can discover pathways into the industry at the TAFE Queensland Coomera campus open day.
The $26m custom built campus will open its doors to the public on Saturday 20 July from 9am to 1pm offering interactive exhibitions, demonstrations, tours and career advice.
The state-of-the-art facility is home to specialised courses in cyber security, virtual reality, screen and media, graphic design, interior design, building design, software development, information technology and much more.
TAFE Queensland’s Coomera campus also offers a Bachelor in games and interactive design as well as the only Bachelor degree in music on the Gold Coast with the recent closure of the music program at Griffith University.
There will be guided tours to explore the facilities which include an auditorium, black box theatre, industry standard sound recording and music rehearsal studios, drawing rooms, PC and Mac computer labs, digital video and editing suites, 3D motion capture, production control facilities and much more.
Open day visitors will be entertained with live music from current music students, as well as competitions and giveaways running throughout the day.
The Coomera campus is located at 198 Foxwell Road which is within walking distance from the Coomera train station and the new Westfield Shopping Centre.
