DIVE HEADFIRST INTO AN A-MAZE-ING OCEAN EXPERIENCE THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AT ROBINA TOWN CENTRE

A delayed start to the school year means holidays are once again fast-approaching – but before you get your tentacles in a twist trying to conjure up free, family-friendly activities for your clan, Robina Town Centre has announced a cooler-than-school ocean-inspired holiday program that will appeal to seafarers young and old.

Arriving in centre from Saturday 2nd April for two weeks of non-stop underwater action, OUR A-MAZE-ING OCEAN will take local marine enthusiasts through an interactive labyrinth of activities from 10.00am – 2.00pm daily.

The program centrepiece – a beautifully-themed, immersive maze designed for young explorers – will see them traversing the deep-sea adventure zone, where they’ll jump across rocks to cross shark-infested waters, climb through an anemone forest and try their luck at the octopus ring toss in a hands-on learning experience.

There’s also the perfect opportunity to snap a selfie in the giant shark head, so be sure to charge those cameras.

And while the A-MAZE-ING OCEAN is sure to max out the school holiday fun-metre, there’s also a tonne (21 million to be exact) of other reasons why families should add this underwater adventure to their school holiday itinerary, with a strong conservation message underpinning the activation.

Robina Town Centre is partnering with home-grown eco-group Zero Co to bring this educational program to life, hoping to inspire and educate local children about ocean conservation, including its spectacular ecosystems and the marine life that call it home.

According to Zero Co, 21 million tonnes of plastic flows into our Aussie oceans every year, so they’re making it their mission to ‘un-trash’ the ocean by collecting 21 tonnes of waste and turn it into forever products through projects like Trashure Hunts and Adopt-A-Bottle.

And with the Gold Coast being home to over 50 kilometres of pristine coastline and a winding network of waterways, it’s more important than ever to teach future generations about protecting this precious commodity.
