Get a fresh cut with a team of young men from Arcadia College, who’ve been learning the craft from barber extraordinaire, Joe Tongi, with guest barber Charles Lomu.
Our pop-up barbershop will move to the tunes of an all teenage DJ crew from the Audio-G project. Parent or Guardian permission required – persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Charles Lomu, has chosen to operate his barbershop from his garage in reaction to the commercialisation of barbershops His aim is to create a stronger community, emphasising family through his shop. Charles’s barbering is of the modern, urban style, exploring fades, grooming and fashion that break the stereotype of men from Western Sydney and beyond. The Garage Barbershop project will collaborate with Charles to foster this culture through several stages including workshops, photographic and video portraiture, music and free cuts.
Arcadia College is a Co-ed Independent Secondary Special Assistance School currently based at Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast. Our new campus, located next to Robina Railway Station, is under construction and the doors will open for our students in January 2021. A purpose built, State of the art school, that combined with the skills of our exceptional caring and qualified staff, will provide our students with unbelievable academic opportunities and life skills.
