Eating for Healthy Brains free session
Learn how healthy eating can help reduce your chances of Alzheimer’s and lifestyle diseases during a free seniors event being held at Burleigh Heads on Tuesday, May 21.
Hosted by RetireAustralia’s The Verge at Burleigh GC, Food for Thought – Eating for Healthy Brains is inspired by Maggie Beer’s cookbook Maggie’s Recipe for Life and will be held at the Burleigh Heads & Miami Senior Citizens Centre.
RetireAustralia Senior Development Manager Judi Hutchison said the event will provide seniors with valuable advice on healthy eating and a dietician will be on hand to share tips on life-enhancing food choices.
“Those attending will be able to enjoy some delicious morning tea made from recipes from Maggie’s Recipe for Life and we’ll also be giving away signed copies of the cookbook to lucky participants,” Ms Hutchison said.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn how to improve your health and meet some new friends and everyone is welcome to join in.
“We’re excited to be holding this session at Burleigh Heads & Miami Senior Citizens Centre and we’re looking forward to sharing our plans for The Verge with local residents.”
Food for Thought – Eating for Healthy Brains will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 10.30am at Burleigh Heads & Miami Senior Citizens Centre, 40-42 Matilda Street, Burleigh Heads.
