Festival of Film Music and Dance
Film, music and dance enthusiasts will inundate Surfers Paradise from April 6-7 as the precinct hosts a weekend packed with fun, free, film-inspired events for the annual Festival of Film, Music and Dance.
Proudly presented by Surfers Paradise Alliance (SPA) the festival is a celebration of the evolving film industry on the Gold Coast, showcasing the work of some of Australia’s most talented filmmakers.
Conveniently coinciding with Gold Coast Film Festival, the festival will unite the precinct in a celebration of everything we love about film, hosting SIPFest (Shorts in Paradise Festival) and B.OLD short film screenings on the Surfers Paradise beachfront.
Music enthusiasts will be enlightened by the extraordinary Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra who will take place on the beachfront stage and perform famous music scenes from some of the world’s most popular films.
From 7pm, the iconic Surfers Paradise beachfront will be transformed into a breathtaking open-air cinema where families are invited to bring along their picnic blankets and chairs for the screening of 14 alluring short film masterpieces for SIPFest.
This is an event not to be missed! Created by emerging filmmakers from Australia and around the world, the short films range in genre from comedy to drama and everything in between.
