Japan & Friends Day 2020
The Japanese Society of Gold Coast will hold an annual “Japan & Friends Day Festival” on 22nd March 2020 (SUN), at Robina Community Centre in Robina.
This festival is a family friendly event that introduces Traditional Japaneses culture to Australia. It will run from 10am-4pm with various food and craft stalls, live entertainment by performers and interactive workshops.
Also FREE Admission!
Since the Japanese Society of Gold Coast Inc is inaugurated for 31 years this year in commemoration of it, this year will further enrich the workshop so that visitors can enjoy it further.
This is an annual event for free admission and a family friendly and about 5000 visitors came last year.
Japanese traditional drum, Classical Japanese dance, Yosakoi dance, Kendo etc are performed at the main stage by the schedule.
A various food stall,Craft stall, a nostalgic fair stall and a Japanese beer and a Japanese Sake are sold in the centre.
This year we will offer OBENTO style (Lunch box) food at inside the centre.
Visitor can buy their favorite food from a food stall, then enjoy it at the venue.
Children can enjoy other activities at the fair stall such as shooting game, ring toss, a lottery etc.
Nostalgic sweets, toy and game is available at a Fair Stall. Also,There is a performance of Kendama Master and cosplay contest.
※A kendama is a traditional Japanese toy which consists of two wooden cups of different sizes placed on the center of a wooden spike and smaller cup with a ball connected by a string.
