Junior Muaythai Development Day

Muaythai Queensland are running a series of Monthly Development Days.  The first lot of events will be aimed at developing Junior Athletes. Later in the year we will add in adult divisions.

These padded tournaments are free for all existing individually registered Muaythai Queensland athletes and are broken into divisions, starting at 0-3 fights experience.   Interstate Muaythai Australia Members are also welcome to enter in these events please contact qld@muaythaiqld.com.au to advise your state, club name & kids details/weight etc.

These development days are aimed at giving athletes experience without the pressure of a big fight promotion.  They will be held in MTQ member gyms premises and will be held as day time, family friendly events.

Not a member of MTQ, but interested in getting your kids involved in a martial art?

Muaythai (also called Thai Boxing) is one of the fastest growing and most popular combat sports in Australia. This discipline, known as the “art of eight limbs” is a form of kickboxing, using a combination of fists, elbows, knees and shins.

Developed over hundreds of years in Thailand, Muaythai is not only an excellent way to keep fit and develop self-defence skills, it also teaches focus, respect, honour and discipline, as well as being a great way to help your children develop self-esteem, self-confidence and resilience, whilst having fun and making friends in a supported and regulated environment.

Muaythai Queensland in conjunction with Fighters Haven invite all Muaythai Juniors, as well as the general public to come along and either participate, or simply experience this great sport, see what it is all about and to have the opportunity to speak with coaches, officials and other parents.

All junior tournaments and training is conducted in a safe and regulated environment as governed by Muaythai Australia. Depending on the age group and experience, juniors are required to use a variety of padding and safety gear, including; gloves, head gear, chest, shin and groin guards as well as mouth guards.
