Pink Polar Gala Ball 2019
The Pink Polar Gala Ball is a grand celebration on two levels.
A celebration of everything that the McGrath Foundation does within the entire Australian community but also a launch of Australia’s most ambitious Polar Journey in decades.
This distinguished event will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday the 19th of October, where you will enjoy a three course meal and four hour beverage package.
The evening will feature music, entertainment, major raffle, silent auction, and a live ‘grand auction’, with items worth thousands of dollars to be won.
Why a Gala Ball?
The “Longest Journey” is explorer Geoff Wilson’s most difficult project to date, it is an attempt to reset the bar for solo unsupported polar travel, an attempt to rewrite polar history but with an inspiring cause attached. Geoff knows from past experience that the brutality of the Antarctic landscape will convince even the most resilient explorer to turn for home. Being attached to a cause that he is passionate about, in connection with breast cancer survivors back home is the rocket fuel that propels Geoff to break records in hostile environments.
Say “YES” and join the celebration!
Join us for a celebration of everything that is wonderful about the optimistic and adventurous human spirit. The night will include live music, keynotes from Tracy Bevan (McGrath Foundation) and explorer Geoff Wilson. The event is supported by many great Australian companies and is sure to be an entertaining, eventful and inspiring evening supporting one of Australia’s most trusted charities and cracking the champagne on one of Australia’s grandest polar expeditions to date.
Come and celebrate with us! And be sure to sign the Australian Flag that will travel with Geoff over some 6,000 kilometres of Antarctic Ice.
Come and be a part of Australian polar history.
