South East Writers Inc

Keen writers are invited to attend the South East Writers Inc 46th Public Meeting on Saturday May 14th from 10am at Labrador Community and Youth Centre

Guest Speaker for this event is Alexandria Dunn

Gold Coast Hinterland resident Alexandra Dunn is an emerging writer and Griffith University PhD of Philosophy candidate. Currently working on a literary novel based on the dehumanisation of children in police watch houses and youth detention centres. Her research also includes post traumatic growth in children of addicts, and the cost of ignoring and enabling. With a background in psychology and criminology, Alexandra creates characters and crafts stories from intense emotions and experiences, using a literary point of view which enables empathy, connection, depth and relatability.
