The Gold Coast is being warned of more thunderstorm activity throughout today, potentially turning severe again.
It follows a wild night of weather for the coast and much of the southeast.
Some areas saw close to 50 millimetres of rain, while thousands of homes were left without power at the height of the storms as well.

Energex thankfully had all power restored early this morning.
While Queensland Fire and Emergency Services say they had around 90 call outs for assistance around the southeast.
They were luckily only minor jobs like sandbagging, leaky roofs and trees down.
No serious damage or injuries have been reported just yet.
The Bureau is warning of further storm activity throughout today as well.
“High (80%) chance of showers, becoming less likely this evening,” the Gold Coast forecast reads.
“A thunderstorm likely, mainly during the afternoon, possibly severe with damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rainfall.
“Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late afternoon.”
