A Gold Coast family are almost half-a-million dollars richer after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The six-member private family syndicate took home a whopping $456,752.50, meaning each member will receive a share worth more than $75,000 each!
“Oh God! Oh my God! I think that’s wonderful,” the syndicate leader exclaimed when a Golden Casket official delivered the winning news this morning.

“I wasn’t going to answer the phone, but gee I’m glad I did!” she laughed.
“This is beautiful. Just beautiful. It’ll probably take a while for it to sink in. I still can’t quite believe it.”
The woman revealed that the lotto syndicate is a tradition she started a few years ago.
“There’s six of us altogether in this syndicate. It’s just a family tradition I started a few years ago and we’ve just kept it going ever since,” she said.
“I can’t wait to tell everyone the good news!”
The syndicate purchased its winning 12-game QuickPick entry at Slacks Newsagency & Casket on Scarborough Street in Southport.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3895 were 26, 19, 31, 30, 6 and 18, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 16.
