Gold Coast girl crowned Miss World Australia 2018
Gold Coast beauty Taylah Cannon has been crowned Miss World Australia 2018.
The 23-year-old took out the coveted title at a special ceremony at the Palazzo Versace at Main Beach on Friday night.
It was the first time the national final had ever been held in Queensland, with organisers revealing the pageant will be heading back to the Gold Coast again next year after a successful stint.
Cannon, a makeup artist and veterinary nurse, was a clear standout having raised $13,000 for the charity Variety Australia.
The brunette beauty joins fellow Queenslanders Erin Holland, Courtney Thorpe, Tess Alexander and Madeline Cowe in winning the Miss World Australia title.
She will now represent her country at the Miss World international final in China at the end of the year.
