A Gold Coast grandmother has been jailed for firing a gun at her son-in-law in Nerang two years ago.
Miriam Annette Eason was sentenced to two and a half years behind bars in Southport District Court on Thursday over the March 2016 shooting incident.
The court heard the 53-year-old fired a single shot at her son-in-law outside her daughter’s Nerang home, but missed.

She then got back into her car and fired several more shots at the house before driving away.
During her arrest a short time later, Ms Eason told officers that she “should have gone to the optometrist first” so that she wouldn’t have missed.
Ms Eason will spend at least 18 months behind bars.
