Gold Coast groups encouraged to apply for $5000 Q Super Centre community grant

Gold Coast community groups, sporting clubs and accredited not-for-profit organisations are being encouraged to nominate for a Q Community Fund donation.

Q Super Centre has a $5000 grant up for grabs, with local groups able to nominate for the donation on Facebook until May 27.

Marketing Manager Karen Wibberely told myGC the aim of the grant is to support organisations that may get overlooked for funding.

“At Q Super Centre, we are all about supporting our local community. We know that community groups, clubs and not for profit organisations help bring people together, which in turn, helps our city thrive, so this is our way of saying thank you for the incredible work that they do,” she said.

“While there are many organisations that we already support with funding, such as Story Dogs, the Storybook Animal Scared Farm and the St John’s Drop-in Centre, we would like give back to some other local groups.

“So head to our Facebook page and nominate today!”

Gold Coast community groups, sporting clubs and accredited not-for-profit organisations can nominate for the $5000 at Q Super Centre’s Facebook page here until May 27.

Following this, Q Super Centre will select five organisations to go into a second voting round where Gold Coasters will be encouraged to vote for who they think should score the $5,000 Q Community donation.
