Gold Coast home destroyed by fire

THERE were two fires on the Gold Coast overnight.

Fire services were called to a house-fire on Tedder Avenue at Main Beach around 2am on Sunday morning.

A total of six fire trucks attended the blaze at the two-story home that is believed to have started in the garage.

The home was severely damaged by the flames, but everyone inside escaped without injury.

Police are investigating to discover whether or not the blaze was suspicious.

Fire crews were also called to a factory fire on Precision Drive in Molendinar just hours earlier.

The fire left extensive damage to the rear of the factory.
