Gold Coast label to make its New York Fashion Week debut

Gold Coast label Homebodii will make its New York Fashion Week debut in September.

Homebodii’s ‘Lost in Love’ Collection will be showcased as part of the official NYFW schedule alongside iconic fashion brands including Tom Ford, Jenny Packham and fellow Australian label, Zimmermann.

Homebodii designer and founder Ingrid Bonnor designed her NYFW Spring/Summer 2017 collection around creating a connection between the wearer and garment.

“What she wears is a reflection of how she feels, and the garments produce a feeling of effortless elegance that exudes beauty and femininity,” said Ingrid.

The exciting move follows the brand’s recent expansion into the coveted US market, where it is capitalising on a growing global trend in luxury sleepwear.

Ingrid launched Homebodii on the Gold Coast in 2011, and has since become a leader in the sleepwear and intimates category, consistently appearing on Revolve Clothing and The Iconic’s best-seller list.

Homebodii’s sought-after designs have led to a collaboration with Anthropologie’s BHLDN offering, further forging a devoted following in the US – including Taylor Swift, who picked up 12 pieces during her last visit to Australia.

Pieces from Homebodii’s bridal range were handpicked for the wedding of Million Dollar Listing glamour couple, Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis – and will appear in spin-off reality show Million Dollar Wedding this Fall.

The NYFW collection boasts a decadent array of bridal robes, intimates, sleepwear, and occasional dresses in elegant lace, custom hand-painted prints, and pantone colours of pure white and blush pink.

“Inspired by nights in white satin and delicate lace, this collection exudes romance between wearer and garment,” said Ingrid.
