Gold Coast man accused of stealing phones, laptops, wallets from cars

A man has been charged with almost 50 offences after police found a large stash of suspected stolen goods inside a house on the Gold Coast.

The 28-year-old is accused of stealing mobile phones, laptops, sunglasses, watches and wallets from several cars in Palm Beach, Ashmore and Southport.

Detectives from Taskforce Latro South found the haul at a Cutana Court home in Ashmore on Monday.

The Ashmore man was arrested and has since been charged with 47 offences relating to stolen property and unlawful entry of vehicle offences.

Police have released images of some of the suspected stolen property and are appealing for anyone who might recognise the items to contact Burleigh Heads Police station on 55 860 444.
