A MAN has been charged after he allegedly attacked a parking inspector on the Gold Coast.
The alleged assault took place on Davenport Street in Southport just after 1pm on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old City of Gold Coast enforcement officer was in the middle of issuing a parking infringement notice when he was allegedly attacked by the vehicle’s owner.

The council worker received minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The accused, a 29-year-old man from Labrador, has been charged and will front Southport Magistrates Court on January 18.
Senior Sergeant Ray Vine said it was “very concerning” that the assault took place in broad daylight.
“It is very concerning that a council employee going about his business is assaulted in broad daylight,” he said.
“I would encourage anyone who witnessed the incident to contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
