Gold Coast man killed in horror motorbike crash

A motorcycle rider killed in a horror crash on the Sunshine Coast yesterday has been identified as a 64-year-old Paradise Point man.

According to police, the man was travelling northeast along Sunday Creek Road on a motorbike with a sidecar around 10.50am when he crashed near Funnels Hut Road at Kenilworth.

Emergency crews rushed to the crash site, but despite their desperate attempts, the man could not be saved and died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
