Gold Coast man to be extradited to VIC following murder charge

A Gold Coast man will be extradited to Melbourne after being charged with the alleged murder of his former partner.

Young mum Jessica Geddes was found dead inside a home at Endeavour Hills, in Melbourne’s southeast, on 6 November, 2020.

According to police, the 27-year-old was allegedly found with visible facial injuries including black eyes.

Following investigations into the suspicious death, a 28-year-old man was arrested by homicide squad detectives at a home in Nerang on Tuesday.

He was charged with murder and fronted Brisbane’s Roma Street Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where his extradition to Victoria was ordered.

Police have confirmed the pair were known to each other and detectives are “not looking for anyone else at this time”.
