A Gold Coast MP has lashed out at latest speculation of an asset sell off in Queensland.
The Courier Mail reported Queensland Treasurer Tim Nicholls said new federal government taxes have strengthened the case for asset sales in his state.
Mr Nicholls added Queenslanders face a choice between asset sales or higher state taxes and charges.

Member for Gaven Alex Douglas has labelled the state campaign “phoney” adding “it’s a 180 degree turn by the LNP since the last election”.
Doctor Douglas said “they’ve gone from condemning the Labor party about selling assets, to them now actually saying we might have to do it before the election”.
The Leader of the Palmer United Party in Queensland also said if the LNP wants to make it an election issue, why not have an election?
