Outspoken Gold Coast man Andy Semple has withdrawn from One Nation as the candidate for the seat of Currumbin, less than three days after being named.
The financial business adviser reportedly refused to remove tweets from his personal account which called for the ban of burqas.
The first-time political candidate cited a disagreement with Pauline Hanson as his reason for withdrawing.

Mr Semple’s twitter feed also contains tweets describing vegans as “miserable people” and that women with unshaven armpits are “not cool at all”.
If Australians are expected to not wear a balaclava in banks or courts why are some citizens permitted to cover their faces in a burka?
