Gold Coast paramedics rush to car fire and multiple crashes

Paramedics were kept busy on the Gold Coast overnight, called to a number of incidents including a car fire.

The blaze broke out in a vehicle along Bridgman Drive in Reedy Creek just before 6.00 pm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, where paramedics assessed two people for smoke inhalation.

They both declined transport to hospital.

Later on, emergency services were called to a single-car crash in Guanaba, where a woman had suffered multiple injuries.

It happened along Guanaba Creek Road just before 7.00 pm.

The woman suffered shoulder and neck injuries and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

In the early hours of this morning, there were reports of another single-car crash in Coomera.

Paramedics rushed to the scene along Oakey Creek Road around 1.45 am, where they assessed a man at the scene.

He had suffered an arm injury after his car crashed into a pole, and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Meantime, Gold Coast police are looking into a separate early morning incident in Helensvale.

A single car had crashed into a power pole along Buckler Drive near Brisbane Road around 4.40 am.

A man and woman were hospitalised with minor injuries and investigations are underway.
