Gold Coast police investigating after car destroyed in midnight blaze

Investigations are underway after a car was completely destroyed by a massive fire on the Gold Coast overnight.

Emergency crews rushed to Fresco Court at Tallebudgera around 11.35pm after receiving multiple calls from residents.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC it took fire crews around 45 minutes to extinguish the fire, which was well involved when they arrived on scene.

Detectives are still trying to determine whether or not the vehicle was stolen.

The spokesperson confirmed a nearby power pole sustained some burn damage after also catching alight.

Investigations are ongoing this morning.
