THE winter chill has definitely arrived on the Gold Coast, with temperatures dropping across the city.
Today Coolangatta experienced one of its coldest mornings so far this year, with the temperature reportedly dropping to just 5 degrees.
Elona Coote from the Weather Bureau said the cold snap will stick around for a few days, with temperatures in the south east expected to get down to single digits.

“The minimum temperatures will be a little bit colder over the next couple of days,” she said.
“As we get into Wednesday, the air flow is going to change from a cold south-westerly round to a moister south-easterly.
“With the increase in moisture, we will see an increase in clouds and by Thursday the minimum temperature will be back up to 12 or 13 degrees.”
