A GOLD Coast security guard has been jailed for four years after using customer cash to fund his gambling habit.
Jon-Paul Denaro was working as a cash-in-transit guard for Border Security when he was accused of pocketing more than $112,000.
The security guard had been hired to pick up money from businesses and bank them, but the cash deliveries started to go missing, including one that more than $30,000.

Bottleshops, bowls and surf clubs were some of the businesses targeted.
Denaro pleaded not guilty to all seven counts of fraud.
After a three week trial, Denaro was found guilty of seven counts of fraud and jailed for four years.
He will be able to apply for bail after serving two years.
