Guests will include the Gold Coast’s top Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea hosts, cancer survivor/hospital worker Christa Evans who will share her story, CCQ staff and volunteers.
Cancer Council Queensland Regional Fundraising Coordinator Lyn Mitchell said there has never been a better excuse to switch the kettle on, tee up your friends, family and workmates and help tip the balance in the fight against cancer.
“Whether it’s a simple morning tea with workmates, a high tea with friends or a school bake sale, you’ll be helping the one in two Queenslanders who will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85,” Ms Mitchell said.
This year, more than 6,700 morning tea hosts from around Queensland will gather in living rooms, community centres, schools and workplaces to celebrate and raise more than $2.5 million for cancer research, education programs and patient support services.
