Air-conditioners and fans are expected to get a good workout today, with Gold Coasters set to swelter through heatwave weather conditions.
The mercury is tipped to soar to 34 degrees in Coomera and Nerang on Tuesday, with a high of 33C forecast for the rest of the region.
While the forecast suggests it will be partly cloudy, the Bureau of Meteorology has warned “hot and unusually humid” weather conditions will impact the city both today and tomorrow.

There’s also the possibility the extreme heat could potentially cause a severe thunderstorm in the afternoons.
There is some relief on the way, with a medium chance of showers on the cards for tomorrow, with up to 10 millimetres of rain.
After tomorrow, daytime temperatures will drop back down to 27C on Thursday and 25C on Friday.
But until then, it may be a good idea to keep your plans indoors!
