THE Gold Coast will be on the national stage this weekend when the city hosts the 2017 Australian Property Expo.
It’s the first time the national exposition has been held on the glitter strip, and organisers are expecting a huge turnout, with buyers from across the country tipped to flock to what is shaping up to be a bumper show.
First Media Australia director Na Yu said the exhibitors – the majority of whom are developers and project managing companies – will showcase some of the Gold Coast’s most luxuries waterfront homes, and house and land packages.

Ms Yu said while this is the 13th property expo, the Gold Coast was chosen to host it for the first time because of its tremendous growth trend, plus the fact that one-third of Chinese tourists who come to Australia now visit the Gold Coast.
“All of the developments represent superb investment opportunities, so we expect a lot of attendees will buy off the plans,” Ms Yu said.
“Investors see this area as an excellent place to buy properties given the increased visitor numbers.”
A luncheon will be held today at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre to officially launch the expo.
A high-powered panel of guest speakers will be present, including Gold Coast Planning Committee chair Cameron Caldwell, chief economist for the Domain Group Dr Andrew Wilson and Rowland Gold Coast director Lucy Ardern.
