Jolly The Clown is so excited about the incredible talent on offer this year’s Gold Coast Show, that he is on a mission to spread the word with the entire universe.
The beloved mascot was launched in a rocket to the stars on Wednesday with the help of some young assistants at the Spaceflight Academy Gold Coast.
Before his take-off, Jolly told mygc he wanted to make sure the entire universe was aware of the incredible star talent the Gold Coast has to offer. “I’m going to be telling everyone about the Gold Coast Show. There are so many stars on the Gold Coast, and many of them will be at the show this year,” he said.
Show Manager Lavinia Rampino said Jolly’s space launch matched perfectly with this year’s Show theme – To The Stars. “At this year’s Show patrons will get the chance to take a peek into the future and let their imaginations take flight,” she said. “The Show will be a place of endless possibilities and is a chance to showcase the extraordinary and the limitless talent this diverse city has to offer.”
In addition to Jolly’s space flight, The Gold Coast Show have also launched the 2017 Under 20’s Arts and Crafts Schedule.
Ms Rampino told myGC they are now taking expressions of interest from entertainers and inviting the community to get involved with the new program. “We can’t wait to see where our entrants who are up-and-coming-artists, leaders, homemakers and entertainers are heading in the future.”
The Gold Coast Show is on at the Gold Coast Turf Club from September 1 – 3 2017. For more information, visit: goldcoastshow.com.au/.
