GOLD Coast singer Romy Holtzapffel has hit the high note, signing a record deal in the US.
The local talent will now move to Los Angeles, where she will collaborate with producers who have worked with JLO, The Backstreet Boys and Prince to create her very first album.
Romy said her brother, So You Think You Can Dance judge Shannon Holtzapffel, helped her get her big break.

“I was at a private event in Melbourne during JLO’s tour with Shannon, who was one of her dancers, and before I knew it I was singing on top of a grand piano with one of her musicians,” she said.
“Her producer and team were there, and after hearing me sing they invited me over (to the US) to work with them.”
