It’s been revealed a Gold Coast skipper was fooling around with a deck hand when the luxury yacht he was operating crashed into another boat.
The 46-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of recklessly contravening his duty to ensure safety in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The collision happened near Steiglitz, on the northern Gold Coast, just after midnight in March last year.

According to Newscorp, the yacht was making its way back from a charter on the Brisbane River, when the skipper and deck hand allegedly became intimate.
The crash caused $140,000 damage to the vessel and took four weeks to repair.
Yesterday, the man was fined $4000 and placed on a good behaviour bond for two years.
The woman will face court in December charged with risking a person’s safety on a domestic commercial vessel.
