Draft pick Matt Rowell once again starred in the victory, with two goals and 20 disposals, while ruck man Jarrod Witts and midfielder Hugh Greenwood are also being praised for their performances.
Ben King scored three goals, telling Fox Sports he’s very happy with the team’s performance.
“We’re all growing every week as we strap the boots on, so really confident that we’re building something strong. Also really good to see some fans back at the game,” King said.
Coach Stuart Dew says the team’s been working very hard, with everyone glad to have some fans there as well.
“It was a big summer of working on what we need to do, we’re glad that our supporters were able to see that tonight.
“Having 2,000 of them here was fantastic for the players, and fantastic for them.
“Hopefully they got a lot of joy out of that, and can see some exciting footy,” Dew said.
