The Gold Coast Suns have unveiled their leadership group, ahead of round one of the AFL this weekend.
David Swallow and Jarrod Witts will captain the Gold Coast SUNS again for the 2021 season.
However, this year they’ll be flanked by Vice-Captains Touk Miller and Sam Collins, forming a four-person leadership group.

The General Manager of Football Jon Haines says the captains have had a big impact on the club over the last year, and they’re being joined by very strong team members.
“David and Jarrod have both played significant roles in helping to lay the foundations for our football program in recent years and we’re looking forward to having them continue their development as leaders of the club.
“For Touk and Sam, the appointment is a testament to their character and recognition of the esteem they are held in by their peers,” Haines said.
Haines also thanked last year’s other Vice Captain’s Alex Sexton and Brayden Fiorini for their efforts.
“Alex and Brayden will always play an important role around the group, regardless of title.
“They both played significant roles in leading the club through the COVID impacted season of 2020 and we expect they will continue to be key influencers within the playing group in 2021,” Haines said.
The Gold Coast Suns are preparing to head to Perth for their first-round clash against the West Coast Eagles.
They’ll fly on Friday ahead of the Sunday afternoon match at Optus Stadium.
