Gold Coast teacher wins Prime Minister’s Prize for Science

A Gold Coast teacher is being celebrated this morning, for taking out the Prime Minister’s Prize for Science overnight.

Megan Hayes from Mudgeeraba Creek State School has been awarded a $50,000 prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Primary Schools.

It’s all thanks to her work in championing the importance of STEM education within her local community and at a national level.
