A PASSIONATE Gold Coast fisherman has reeled in three massive sharks in the space of just one week.
Max Muggeridge, from Coomera on the Gold Coast decided to try his luck on a fishing trip off the NSW north coast earlier this month.
The 19-year-old, who has been shark fishing for nine years, set off on a mission to find shark hot spots following a spate of recent attacks, and it seems he struck lucky, reeling in a 3.86 metre tiger, 3.78 metre great hammerhead and 2.7 metre bull shark.

Muggeridge, who documents his adventures in great detail on his Facebook page called TBDsharkfishing said the last night of his trip was the most memorable.
“Just as i had finished pouring a bowl of milo cereal, it screamed out! Being glass conditions as soon as the hooks were engaged i saw a monster dorsal fin out in the horizon…. could it be the hammer that i had dreamed about!?!
“This hammer did not dissapoint. After an intense 30-40 minutes i had my hammerhead on the beach. I quickly worked it as hammerheads are notorious for being hard to release, removed the 24/0 TMMFA circle hook and implanted a tag and within a few minutes she was swimming off strong.”
“What a way to end the trip! Hammers are extremely rare land based off Australia. Not many over 10′ have been caught off the beach, which made this catch so special to me.”
Muggeridge said all sharks were caught, tagged for the NSW Department of Fishers and then released.
