Teen girl charged with starting Surfers Paradise building fire

Police have charged a girl following a fire at a vacant apartment block at surfers Paradise on August 9.
Emergency services were called to the apartment block on Remembrance Drive around 2.15am and the building suffered significant damage and had to be demolished.
Detectives have charged a 16-year-old Biggera Waters girl with one count of endangering property by fire.
She will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
