Gold Coast Titans hit rock bottom before club review

The Gold Coast Titans are officially on the bottom of the NRL ladder now, after a thrashing from the Panthers last night.

The Penrith side was without injured Nathan Cleary, and playing a worn down James Maloney after Wednesday night’s Origin.

Though they still managed to absolutely wallop the Gold Coast side, who couldn’t even get one try over the line.

The final score was 24-2.

It’s brought up speculation that coach Garth Brennan could be getting the sack, with a club operations review due to be handed down to the board on Monday.

Brennan said he’s not thinking too deeply about that though.

“That’s between Mal and the board, and they’ll do what’s best for the club.

“I love the club, and I want the club to be successful.

“That wont change, regardless of what the outcome is next week.

“At the end of the day, I want the Titans to be successful,” he said after the match.
